So after work one night Victoria and I came home to this. Need I say more:)
So for Thanksgiving we went down to the Sand Dunes. The kids had a blast. Victoria had her cheer friends there. They are all around the same age. Zach didn't know what to do first. Ride the quad or play in the dirt. He was especially in heaven. I myself am still cleaning sand out of everywhere. He's just sitting on the quad he doesn't actually drive it yet. And I do mean yet. I guess his grandpa was teaching him where the throttle was. I was unaware of this until I took him on a ride in camp. I stopped to talk to Brent and he reached for the throttle and practically threw me off the back of the little one. The picture below is of all of the help that my brother got trying to fix his quad. Zach couldn't get close enough.
Victoria was nervous, but mainly excited to start 6th grade. She wants next year to come so she can go to Junior High. Slow down! She likes her new teacher and I do mean new. New to the school and teaching. I'm not sure how that's going to work out. Zach was so sad to see her leave on the school bus, or maybe it was because the school bus was leaving:) He loves the school buses.

We went to Toy's R Us the other day. We haven't been since probably Christmas, well he took two steps in and just started screaming at the top of his lungs in excitement. You would have thought that he hit the jackpot. I guess he did. He just ran from isle to isle looking, touching, and poking all of the toys. He continued to scream when he recognized a character. It was soo funny.

This is us in Vegas. We had a great time there with Victoria. Zach stayed home with the G-parents. Victoria, grandma Ann, and I are taking her to the Palm Springs competition. Just a girls weekend and cheer. She loves her grandma. We are just getting over a month long cold that we had for the holidays. I have my traditional picture of me laying on the sofa for Christmas. Brent is leaving for Seattle tomorrow. He has a job that he is bidding for his company up there. Other than that nothing too exciting is going on for us.

So the competition season is well underway. We were in Las Vegas before Christmas and we are going to Palm Springs the beginning of February. Victoria is on two teams now and we are at the gym four nights a week. I'm still working there in the evenings, except this week because Brent is going to Seattle for work. Victoria's teams are doing great. She gets to fly on one of the teams so that makes her very happy. However, after her first competition in November she started suffering from a mental block in her tumbling. She went from doing some of the hardest things in tumbling to not doing anything at all. Her mind has finally caught up to what her body is doing and she realizes that she could get hurt. It is so frustrating for her and sad for us to watch her go through it. Unfortunately the only person that can help her get out of this is herself. She started working with the owner on mental exercises that she can do, but that has only helped get some of the basic flips back. We are all hopeful she will overcome this, but we aren't sure how long it will take.
