This is us in Vegas. We had a great time there with Victoria. Zach stayed home with the G-parents. Victoria, grandma Ann, and I are taking her to the Palm Springs competition. Just a girls weekend and cheer. She loves her grandma. We are just getting over a month long cold that we had for the holidays. I have my traditional picture of me laying on the sofa for Christmas. Brent is leaving for Seattle tomorrow. He has a job that he is bidding for his company up there. Other than that nothing too exciting is going on for us.

The Old Folks
This is us in Vegas. We had a great time there with Victoria. Zach stayed home with the G-parents. Victoria, grandma Ann, and I are taking her to the Palm Springs competition. Just a girls weekend and cheer. She loves her grandma. We are just getting over a month long cold that we had for the holidays. I have my traditional picture of me laying on the sofa for Christmas. Brent is leaving for Seattle tomorrow. He has a job that he is bidding for his company up there. Other than that nothing too exciting is going on for us.
Zachary

So Zachary had a great Christmas. He received lots of tools to help dad. He is growing so tall. He is in to everything. I spend all day just picking up after him. He loves to go outside. He also is a complete daddy's boy. I think if I remember correctly that is what Brent wanted. He might be thinking twice about that now since he can't even get in the door without him all over him. It's cute. He also loves his grandpa Edwards. They go to the airport to watch the planes and they go to the train park to watch the trains. I don't know which loves it more.
Happy New Year!!
So the competition season is well underway. We were in Las Vegas before Christmas and we are going to Palm Springs the beginning of February. Victoria is on two teams now and we are at the gym four nights a week. I'm still working there in the evenings, except this week because Brent is going to Seattle for work. Victoria's teams are doing great. She gets to fly on one of the teams so that makes her very happy. However, after her first competition in November she started suffering from a mental block in her tumbling. She went from doing some of the hardest things in tumbling to not doing anything at all. Her mind has finally caught up to what her body is doing and she realizes that she could get hurt. It is so frustrating for her and sad for us to watch her go through it. Unfortunately the only person that can help her get out of this is herself. She started working with the owner on mental exercises that she can do, but that has only helped get some of the basic flips back. We are all hopeful she will overcome this, but we aren't sure how long it will take.
